As a designer and creative technologist, I use interactive devices as a bridge between technology and human emotions.
My time at Cranbrook has been intensively spent studying the effect of emerging technology and designing work that asks ethical questions about our coexistence. Being obsessed with technology I am constantly reflecting on its huge impact on our lives. People who were born at the end of the 20th century, like me, have witnessed the explosion of technology, from playing badminton outdoors with friends in full kit to now being able to play badminton from the comfort of my living room with motion-sensing game consoles.
I gain a great sense of achievement and motivation through exploring and creating new ideas that can surprise and inspire people. Interactive technology can eliminate distance, but at the same time, it can also eliminate intimacy. Therefore, I believe our generation is responsible for encouraging and practicing critical and speculative thinking towards human-computer experiences.
