I am from Houston, Texas and have a background in architecture, interior design, and landscape. From cities to buildings to sidewalks, I am fascinated with the interconnection of the human body to the things we build. My interest lies in how we can rethink much of our privatized world into shared space through an interactive modularity and play.
At Cranbrook, I’ve been experimenting with digital fabrication and 3D printing work in modular forms and how this can transform or rethink shared space. This could apply to interior communal space, parks, or streetscapes. With COVID, there has been a lot of focus on creating more comfortable and functional outdoor spaces for programs that would typically be indoors. I’m currently investigating how these explorations in form and fabrication can be adapted to the needs of this current moment we find ourselves in.
