Lucille Olechowski earned her BFA in Glass from the College for Creative Studies in 2007.
Her interest lies in creating sculptural objects and functional designs that integrate traditional craft materials and processes. Her practice involves first-hand observational studies of sites she has engaged with routinely, examining their natural and man-made connections throughout. She is interested in how to activate void spaces within and around architectural niches by using forms that fit visually and physically into the spaces. Lucille’s current agenda asks how to create “form-fit” adaptations to spaces, potentially stimulating a positive influence on human behavioral health, both mentally and physically.
