My artistic practice engages and embraces those aspects of being human that are too often deemed unpleasant, that are considered too burdensome to have inherent function. Awkwardness, uncertainty, and clumsiness become gateways and avenues to explore.

Shapes that might otherwise have independent lives find themselves connected by a tube, an artery, a valve. The hollow interior structure allows for a flowing from one chamber to another. A hidden life under the skin. Forms become interwoven, they now breathe the same air. A co-dependent relationship is formed, or perhaps, a parasitic one. The identity of entanglement- the animal and the hunter, the chicken and the egg, the head and the bottle.
